my theory about our obsession with thin being beautiful is that -we in the wealthier nations- are so far on the heavier side of average that our idea of beautiful is to be overly thin.

I dont think sickly thin people are beautiful. I dont care what size you are, if you're ugly, you're still living with the face, fat or thin. And I've seen some UGLY skinny people in people magazine. Kate Bosworth is one example. Mary Kate and ashley olsen are two others.

nope i didnt oppose. its the body system, i said this because of different type of body system every individual have. its not the society of wealth, its the way of food intake and dieting. i have a niece she is so thin even she gave birth, shes still thin, doctors said its in her body systems and bones. we have different body structures. some have big bones and some have thin bones. food intake even properly eaten its the body system that stimulates the foods and nutrient, on how it developed to our body.
