Example: shampoo, make-up, hair products. I cant help but think they would use more Hollywood expensive not really available to the general public kind of products.

Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson with proactiv I believe, Lindsay Lohans makes me laugh and Jessica Simpson slipped up in an interview awhile back and thanked some other product for her skin...Some do, some simply do it for the extra money. People buy it because of these celebs so company's pay them a butt-load even if they have never even heard of the product.

The majority do not and have not even tried the product. Also in make-up, hair dye commercials for example they are not even showing the person using the actual product. For example the make-up will be a different brand than what they are endorsing.

i'd would desire to respond to a million. I paintings in merchandising and merchandising and subsequently be attentive to all the gimmicks used to make a sell. movie star endorsement is only yet another gimmick and in some procedures could be insulting to a client's intelligence. it certainly relies upon on the in good shape of the movie star to the product. some agencies bypass movie star wild and would't see the woodland for the trees. regardless of each thing, who would purchase a working laptop or laptop recommended by potential of Shaq? basically followers of Shaq. maximum clientele would weigh the constructive aspects and value and sweetness what fee would be added by potential of having Shaq's call on the laptop. i be attentive to that the movie star is being paid stable money to propose something they oftentimes have not any actual stake in, so it certainly works any different way around for me. regardless of the undeniable fact that, i'd use the astounding movie star for the astounding product in a heartbeat, through fact it does paintings. Tiger Woods can sell the snot out of golfing golf equipment, yet what cell telephone he makes use of is a controversy of non-public determination. would i think like Tiger if i offered this telephone? No. would I tell my friends that it somewhat is an identical telephone that Tiger makes use of? No. i'd seem stupid by potential of doing so. yet paying for an identical golf equipment that a champion makes use of shows that i'm a intense approximately doing properly interior the interest.

The only celebrity that I know that used the product they endorsed was Alicia Keys and Pro Activ Solution. She did have bad skin, and now it's beautiful. I don't know about Anna Nicole Smith and Trimspa~ I think she had gastric bypass surgery or something because she was HUGE!

Of course not. I bet J-Lo doesn't even wear her own perfumes or listen to her own albums. Because they suck.

Does anyone really believe Charlize Theron uses a £1.50 shampoo that you but in Asda. Hahaha

I feel sorry for the plebs who buy stuff because a celeb said it's great for £50,000.

Quite doubtful. I mean some celebrities endorse a certain do it yourself hair dye. There is no way they dye their own hair! lol that is too funny :P

No they are paid to make a statement only. Just like in movies, they don't have to believe in what they say

Just like you and me. If the product is good, they'll use. If not, they will not not use. It's purely commercial.
