it comes on some commercial for a video game where some guy gets killed by a huge spider i think it goes a little something like this.."in a place with familiar faces, worn out faces, worn out faces" i think im not sure and it has a smooth beat to it

It's definitely Mad World, but that song has been done by a couple of different artists. If it's slower, pretty much just piano and singing it's probably the version by Gary Jules, but if it sounds like it's from the eighties then it could be the Tears for Fears version, which was the original. It's a fantastic song, and both versions are great you should check em out : )

Gary Jules - Mad World. It was covered for the movie Donnie Darko. The song was done originally by Tears for Fears and was also covered by Evergreen Terrace...it's a heavier version but still rocks. The commercial is for Gears of War.
