Yeah, of course!!! I like them a lot. They were drawn by the Belgian artist Herge who died in 1983 I suppose. Well, earlier stories didn't have good drawings but the latter one's have very good drawigns and the details that he put to a drawing is interesting. And one of the best things is that his pictures are clear not congested with lot of lines and strokes which is ideal for Tintin-like comics. But of course there are other type of stories which require lot of other lines (to give it a 3 D effect). I suppose Tintin can edge out Asterix drawings. By the way I am an artists too but not professionally.

Yes! And do YOU remember the cartoon show based on the books that ran on tv in 1990-1991. It was called The Adventures of Tintin. I think HBO showed the 39 episodes of it on cable.

I grew up with the series in the Southwest and my mother was always trying to get me to read more since they had mounds of dialogue I didn't understand until I was an adult.

Recently PBS did a special about Herge, the Belgian artist who did TinTin for newspapers and books, explaining the change and the feelings/sentiment/depth of the books in ways some of us who've read for years didn't understand.

As a writer, artist & afficiando of this genre it gave me a lot to think about. Thanks for asking.
