Definately go to a genecologist as a first choice. There are many reasons why a period is irregular, (and it's not uncommon either). Besides the usual checkup, and easy blood test can tell your hormone levels and then something as easy as taking a simple pill could turn everything "normal" again. Don't stress it but do get it checked out. Information is always a good thing to have.
