Does anyone remember this old 70's-80's tv show? it was about earth fighting in space using a world war II (as crazzy as that sounds) rebuilt battleship turned space ship.

I have heard they are talking of a movie to be made from it.

I am watching two of the mini movies they made after the second series, (Comet Empire) and i can see where the movie might be able to take off on..

Stasha and the main star's brother had a baby. a girl..

what if somethign happens many years later and she has powers now... something that will eventually involve her as well as the cast now much later.

Yeah,
You can get the Iscandar and Comet Empire arcs on Netflix now (but the Gamelons aren't blue -WTF!!!!)

The ship was called the Argo in the US version, created from the hull of Yamato, the greatest of all battleships.

The Americanized movie script was to have Argo rise from the wreck of the USS Arizona.

No plans are currently underway for a SB movie, but the Wachowskis are moving ahead with Speed Racer - no word on whether Vince Vaughan is still attached as Racer X (where the hell did that come from?)

We're off to outer space
We're leaving Mother Earth
To save the human race
Our Star Blazers

Searching for a distant star
Heading off to Iscandar
Leaving all we love behind
Who knows what danger we'll find?

We must be strong and brave
Our home we've got to save
If we don't in just one year
Mother Earth will disappear

Fighting with the Gamilons
We won't stop until we've won
Then we'll return and when we arrive
The Earth will survive
With our Star Blazers
