I am interested in improving my running speed and endurance. If you are preparing for a marathon, do you have to abstain from sweets afterwards?

For 2 minutes jog at a slow to medium pace and sprint full speed for 1 minute. Continue the 2 minute/ 1 minute intervals for a set distance. (Lets say 2 miles) This is a good conditioning plan to increase your speed and cardio vascular endurance. (It will stregnthen your heart and allow your blood to carry more oxygen.)

You need to train by doing intervals. It will really help. And eating right will help!
