Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska

The album has everything. Showcases Springsteens roots in country and the blues. The sounds of the album are haunting, and very raw. (the song state trooper highlights this very well) It's about the only album i can listen to from start to finish and pay attention the whole way, without skipping songs. It's simply mesmerising. The lyrics are dark and gloomy, as is his voice. And it's pretty much just him and his guitar and harmonica.

If you don't understand music, the beauty of this album will be lost on you. If you are a music love then it's an absolute must have. To strip everything back and still produce an album of such high quality shows the quality of the musician. Probably his best songwriting album too.

hybrid theory by linkin park. every song on that cd was good! unfortunately, it was the only cd that grabbed my attention from them. their newer cds werent as passionate i dont think. it really was a disappointment.

another cd i liked was mer de noms by a perfect circle. i can listen to Magdalena non stop and never get tired of it. i think thats what makes a good cd. ive had it for about 6 or 7 years and i still listen to it.

ps i give my props to The Roberino. tool IS amazing! tool and a perfect circle share the same singer =) no wonder their albums are amazing

I recently read an two separate accounts of the making of The Beatles "Abbey Road", one written by their recording engineer, and the other by their close confidant. After re-listening to that album, I believe that because of it's texture, clarity & depth of emotion, it must rank as one of the finest pop recordings ever made. The songwriting & production values are simply brillant. As you know there are many, many excellent recordings, made by thousands of artists, ranging from solo efforts to Opera. It should be our goal to ferret out and listen to as many as we can.

Appetite for Destruction (Guns n Roses). I like all sort of music (John Legend, Tupac, Coldplay, country music......everything). I like the songs and it sounds as if the band put time into the production of the album.
