The highest WPM in history was typed by Ned Felderkrank of Holland in 1998 and still stands as the World Record to this day...
Remember, this is a SPRINT rather than a marathon, speed is king here and the stakes are high.
How did Felderkrank do it?
He repeatedly typed the words, "I think I'm dying!" 100-times in 60-seconds, netting him a World Record speed of 400 WPM!!!
Sadly, Felderkrank who suffered from kidney disease, did in fact die upon completion, breaking all his fingers in the process.
Further investigation revealed that minutes before his world record attempt, Felderkrank had replaced his dialysis machine with a cappuccino maker, replacing 95% of his blood with hot liquid caffeine.
It is to Ned Felderkrank's heroic sacrifice that we lift our coffee mugs each and every morning.
God bless you Ned!
