if you're attracted to women, and not men, then you already are. you have to "go about" being gay. just be yourself. there is no mandatory way you have to act.
if you aren't attracted to women, though, you can't "turn" gay.
and the "flamboyant crazy gays" are mostly a stereotype. most of us don't fit in the stereotypes that most people assume we are.

Sounds like you need to answer that question for yourself. The primary question you need to ask yourself is "Am I gay?"... If the answer to that is "yes" then I think if you are still young, you should probably talk to an adult that you trust- guidance counselor, adult friend of the family that you trust, etc. I think that once you admit it to yourself and are comfortable with the fact of your sexuality, it will be easier for you to tell other people. Its almost 2007- homo-sexuality is really much more accepted today then it was not even 10 years ago. Its similar to interracial relationships- if your community seems to be very conservative, you may want to think about moving to a more liberal community- California (San Francisco is a big one)- and where i am in Orlando, it is very accepted. Good luck- and don't go against your heart, if you love a member of the same sex, just be proud of it and who you are!

Sweetie, you don't do anything to "go about being gay". Either you are or you're not. If you're gay, just be yourself. Be the person you want to be. If you are gay and someone asks you a question about marriage/kids and you don't feel comfortable answering directly, just say that you're not ready for that yet and change the topic. If you are comfortable answering directly, good for you!

Good luck. You'll figure it all out in time.

If you really wish you were gay, then you ARE. It's all about your preferences, whether or not you act upon it or not. Be true to yourself and live a happy life that YOU choose. Don't live a miserable life someone else chooses for you.

BE WHO YOU ARE!

Well, good for you. Just be yourself, act in the manner you think is appropriate and what you want. What they think and assume about you is of no importance. What will make you happy is what is important. Right?

If your gay, you were born gay...you don't become gay. If your gay just come out of the closet and live a happy life like we do.

Just be who you really are. In the end, you'd be surprised to realize that you have been gay all along. And don't forget to have fun when exploring! \m/
