You're right...to a point. There always will be things that men and women will be better at than each other. The problem comes when one is paid more for the same work. Both sexes are equally human and both are deserving of the same respect. That's all we're (as women) asking. Think about it that way if you'd be so kind.

Men and women are equal in the sense that they are of equal worth and value. However, they're not exactly the same, and when the word equal is used in this context, people aren't trying to say that both genders are exactly the same in all respects. It simply means that both should be treated fairly and receive equal protection under the law. And by the way, that IS the law in most western countries.

First it depends on what concept of equal you are referring to. In a way you are right. A female anatomically is built different and stronger (in ways) then men. Therefore she can do, take things that no man can.
A man's body is built with bigger/stronger muscles but it is possible for a female to develop hers to nearly the same.
But in the most general sense it is economic way. Like equal rights to apply or given the same rights to apply or try for a job. To receive equal pay for equal work. Also for equal opportunities for upward mobility.
For example the average male (no matter how strong) sitting in a chair can not stand up with out moving his feet further under him or leaning forward. Most females can.
A male cannot have a baby but a woman can.

Because males and females are meant to be equal. The nonequality based on gender is caused by the mores and norms set up by mere humans. Since it's the right thing to do, then people fight for it.

Male and female were created in the image of God, so there is no point why they are not equal.

from a woman's point of view i would say we would love to have power and respect that men have but as you stated it is so very true that we could NEVER be equals as much as we try and as much as we want it could never be if that was the case woman would have already been president, front line infantry in the army, and so on woman cannot ever be equal to man for we have one thing that a man could NEVER have or do in his lively hood which is give birth! so for that reason alone I AM PROUD to be a WOMAN!!!
