Me and my fiance are trying to conceive, I ovulated today so we had sex thursday, saturday, and today. So I know we have at least some good odds that we are. I am trying to think of a creative way to tell him if I am pregnant from this months trying. I know that I might not be and I wont know for a little while, I am just trying to stay positive. Any creative suggestions would help. Thanks!

Wow - lots of great idea's already here. I am also in a similar boat and have been thinking about this.

I am thinking I will buy a baby sleeper and fold it up and put it in his underwear drawer - right on top so when he's getting dressed that morning he'll pull a baby sleeper out of the drawer! Then I could be prepared at the door of the bedroom with a mug of coffee for him in a mug that says "daddy". Of course this is all assuming I can keep the secret - which realistically I probably won't be able to do.

I am also trying to think of fun ways to tell our parents - with any luck we will be able to tell them at Christmas so I was thinking of something similar - Chirstmas gifts addressed to "Grandma and Grandpa".

It's so exciting, isn't it? Good luck to you.

I'm kind of in the same boat with my husband, and I have been thinking a lot about this exact question, and here is something I came up with:
I recently started collecting these beautiful figurines from the "Willow Tree" collection (they sell them at Hallmarks and other gift shops - they are carved out of wood and have blank faces) Whether you collect them or not, they have a ton of beautiful figurines that make great gifts for sooo many occasions, and they are not very expensive.
Anyway, there are a few having to do with pregnancy. (one is a woman who is pregnant and rubbing her belly, another is a Man holding a baby, etc)
So I think I will buy one to give him for this special occasion. Even though it's MY collection, I figure every time we look at that figurine, it will remind us of that day and of all the emotions that followed after.
(ps- i'm also dying to do the whole "full house" rebecca / jesse dinner idea. i've tucked that idea away eversince the first time that episode aired!!)

When my husband and I were TTC our son, we coupled on the exact 3 days of my peak times...it worked...so when he came home from work, after I had taken the test, and it was positive, I presented him with a special dinner and gift. The dinner consisted of:
Applesauce
Mashed Potatos
Candied Yams
and milk to wash it down.
He found it interesting, and was puzzled at my choices...he's usually a big eater..and all of this was mashed. When I still didn't tell him, he got really puzzled. Then I gave him a gift, and called it a just because present. Inside the gift was a bottle of rolaids, nursing pads, and a pacifier. Again at first he was confused, and then it hit him! :-)

There are Christmas ornaments out there with a boy and girl and her shirt says baby. My friend told me that way that her and her boyfriend were having a baby and I can say that it was the most creative and cute way I have ever been told.

When I told my husband, I asked him what if questions. What if I was prego what would be the name of the baby? How would we tell everybody? It took him awhile until I asked him to meet me at a place for something. And I gave him the address to my doctors office. It wasn't until we were in the doctors office it hit him.

It was difficult not to tell him. But one evening as we were dressing for a night out my DH said " You're gaining a little weight aren't you?' Calmly I said "I should be. I'm pregnant!" He was ecstatic. That was 16 years ago.......

Make a "Message in a Bottle" and write the good new on a piece of paper, roll it up, and put it inside a baby bottle.

I tried, couldn't keep it a secret. I was going to tell him on his birthday, but I got excited and told him as soon as I saw the line on the test. I don't keep secrets well :-(
