Is it because they secretely believe that the point guard can play all 5 NBA positions?

They non-secretly keep hiring the wrong front office personnel.
Some day they will hire someone with a clue .... but it won't be any day soon.

The Knicks suck because there is lack of connection. If you look at the team they actually have a good squad. I mean look, Stephon Marbury, Crawford, Francis, etc. These are all decent players but they don't know how to work with each other. They will never succeed because Marbury and Francis are ballhogs and not true point guards.

The knicks roster is full of overpaid, overhyped, underachieving players... They have some decent young talent (robinson/frye/lee), but not enough to be a good team.. It seems as though every team goes through a rebuilding stage, and the knicks stage is just longer then most due to bad management (GM thomas), and overpaying players past their prime, so they dont have enough salary cap room to improve via free agency...

Isiah ruined this team. The team used to pride itself on defense and now they don't play defense. They don't have anyone that can fill it up from the outside and they also have too many players whose games are the same. At this rate, they won't make it back to NBA elite status for quite a long time.

Because their team is all over the place. They don't have any guys who are proven winners. They are mixing semi-talented veterans with semi-talented young guys. Marbury is not a PG, and Curry has been soft in past seasons. Francis and Starbury have large egos, and just care about themselves.

They may have a lot of good players but there's alot of egos among the players.And the team doesn't have chemistry..
