do you like see people and go ... gay. or is it like an observation type thing? because I think this theatre kid at my school is gay but I dont want to ask him... :*( I am new.

You recognize a bit of yourself (if youre gay) in others, you can relate to what they are doing. Straight folks relate to what there gay friends are like, so they might not always be as accurate.

Its not just mannerisms and stereotyped behavior, its presence.

Purely observational. You either have it or you don't. It can't be installed or removed. It can be wrong and/or malfunction at times, but for the most part...it is dead on....even if the person doesn't know they are gay yet....

It's more like basing your observations on stereotypes.

If you don't want to ask him, try to find his MySpace. All kids have MySpaces nowadays, and if it's anything but "straight", then you know.
