I take lots of pictures because they are or will be better times in the future.
Even some of my worst photos from times I thought were bad seem funny now. Changing a tire on the interstate or shoving my pregnant girlfriend into the back of a small car, yes, I took a second to take a picture of that even tho she was yelling to get her to the hospital, I can look back at these and laugh and I am glad she held in till I got her there.

No I look at pictures to remember good times - special times and look forward to more special times. I also like to see how people have changed over the years and how my children have grown. I Love Pictures :)

Funny you should ask that. I was going through my photos today, something I rarely do. Not really to remind myself of better times. I don't do that often - I find nostalgia to be an exercise in masochism. Makes me sad. Miss my family.

Cameras and I don't get along. I'm sure my relatives have plenty of pics, but I don't need them to remind myself of the good times in my life. I am constantly thinking of memories, and reliving them in my mind. I guess I am just blessed that way.

All the time. I look at pictures of myself when I was in high-school and in my very early 20's (I'm 26 now) and I think about how I used to push myself to be so thin and so pretty...
...I never realized that I WAS so thin and so pretty. I may have appreciated it more if I spent more time enjoying my youth and beauty than trying to improve it.

No. Memories are nice but that's all they will ever be. I like to dream about all the good things that have yet to come; this actually helps focus your goals and make more good experiences come true.

No, the best of my happy times and places exist only in my memories. I don't have any photographs of those, but I have mental images stored away that are precious to me and delightful to revisit.
