And by free I mean, totally free. Where can I go to download music without having to drop my firewall, subscribe to a stupid service to keep the music, and once I download it be able to transfer it or send it to anyone or anything I want to? Been searching for sooooo long....tired. Please help! Any suggestions?

With limewire you really do get free music. You install the software off their website, you can either pick a free one or (pro) which is suppose to have a better selection and faster downloads. You type what your lookin for and they find it and you can download it for free, no per song fees, for real. If you have a cd burner you can burn the songs. They are stored in your shared files under settings and documents.
The only thing is since I installed it on saturday I have had nothing but trouble with my computer, So im thinking about uninstalling it. Plus i dont know how it can be legal you can even download movies. It makes me nervous, I feel like im stealing..

You can try this program called Aquisition. It is for Mac computers and maybe Windows not sure. It will ask if you want to purchase but you dont have too. Also Limewire will work for Windows. You will be able to transfer the music also.

I use Bearshare... it's not only easy to use and doesn't require any "membership setup", but it also gives you statistics for each of the files that give you an idea of the ones that will download the quickest. And they have everything from music to TV series to movies... Gotta love it:)
