they're important to get into the college you want. after that, they aren't important. so do well on them now, if you intend to get into a particular university that you want, and also avoid taking certain college classes because you can test out of them--that's time and money that you don't have to spend. after this, you won't have to worry about them ever again.

Personally, I think they're just for show. If you score well enough you get college credit, big deal. Balance is what's important. Colleges look at more than just grades.

I never took any of the AP tests and I still got into my top choice college, with the biggest merit scholarship they offered.

very important colleges look @ that kinda stuff n choose students from that. n since test take up most of ya grade its kinda important 4 ya futures sake
