Because they are too busy wiping snot and ketchup off the kids and doing the husband's laundry to even think about what the rest of the world needs.
The truth is kids run the world. We start off as children and we can't wait to get big, so we can do things our way. Then we grow up and go to college and get a job and a spouse and have to do things their way. Then ultimately the supreme tyrant comes along - children of our own. Our lives will never be our own again, because we are always ALWAYS thinking about and caring for the kids, until we are too feeble to even care for ourselves and that's when the children start openly making decisions for us.

Females DO know that we run the world. Mens(most, not all) egos are just so inflated that they think they run it, but in all actuality it is us women.

my guess is that a few may know, but a majority don't b/c they may not be the brightest bulb on the Chanukah Tree. However, it is predicted that by 2050 white males will no longer be the majority in the USA. then they will figure it out and take over.

Because its been ingrained in our society that we don't. In most ancient cultures, the women were thought to be the ones with power (before science, it was the belief that women had the power to create life and therefore had more power than men). As time grew, as well as science, beliefs and ideals changed and it became popular belief that women were dirty and unclean instead of the bearers of life.
Now the playing field is starting to even out (and I mean this from a totaly non-biased standpoint) but, its still trying to eradicate a few centuries worth of beliefs.

pfft ask my freaking roommate that... cause gd she thinks she does... shes a strong feminist and hates guys... doesnt do a thing around the apartment and expects everyone else to... gets pissed off when i, a guy, ask her to help with something or to do something or to clean up her mess. so trust me i think they know, they just know that we can always do it better... and i mean always.

we do... but men have an ego thing... so we let them think they're in control.
(but we mess up like everyone else... we were having an off day when george bush was elected... but it'll be fixed... we're working on it)
