iPod is a music player, it plays music through the headphones. Some versions of the iPod can display pictures and videos. One service for music costs about $5 to $15 a month. But most the time u have to buy music to put into your iPod. A song usually costs $0.99 and an album usually costs $9.99. But remember, iPods will only work with iTunes services. Other players (such as Creative Zen series, Sony, Samsung, iRiver) will work with a whole lot of services. I recommend not to buy an iPod. Go to BestBuy, they show a lot of different mp3 players, and all of them is trusted. Everyone have an iPod, so it's kinda lame to get the same one. And iPod is dependent to iTunes. U'll feel like u'r in a prison. They'r a lot of troubles with the iPods and they's very little extra features. I have a ZenVisionM and it's amazing.

Ok first of all, i would not suggest an iPod for they are the number one leading brand of breakings and not working history of music players. An iPod is an MP3 player but just has it's own name like Orange, it is a fruit but called an orange. Also i would suggest a Zune from Microsoft, they are the same price as an video iPod PLUS you get an FM tuner with it, but iPods, if you want music you have to buy it fom their music store which costs like +$0.99 a song. Now an regular MP3 player has a different format, on iPods they have hardrives that store the music, MP3 players have storage memory so that you can store songs on it without a huge clumpy hardrive. Now yea iPods are IN at school, allmost everyone has one, i wouls say at least 90% of the school population has one, but that doesn't mean you have to waste your money on poor customer service and cheap loq quality iPods, some people don't know what they are talking about when it comes to iPods, they only say that they love the iPod so much because everyonbe else does, or because it hasn't broken on them yet. Trust me, save your money for the Microsoft Zune that comes out on November 14th, 2006.

iPods are the trendiest and easiest to accessorize music players out there. There is no charge for music service for most mp3's its just pay as you buy songs like normal. You can upload cds onto whatever mp3 player you buy. However if you are going to get an iPod for your daughter I would recommend a video ipod or no ipod at all because the nanos are kind of overpriced for the amount of memory they have.

An iPod is a MP3 player. Depends on which type, the storage technology may vary between hard disk storage(stores most data and songs, but not resistant to shock when spinning, and uses more battery power) or flash storage(resistant to shock,, uses less battery power, more portable, and carries less but sufficient enough data and songs). iPod video and older versions of iPod(including mini) use hard drive storage, and maximum storage is about 60 gigabytes(60 billion bytes, or about several million songs or less, depends on how big each song/file is), and lowest recorded, or as so I can recall was 1gigabyte. Usually the iPod's music service is iTunes Store, which can be accessed with iTunes software, included with the iPod. Each song's price is fixed, but last time I can recall was about 99¢ per song.
