It's probably just a rumor. I'm sure the Sens would love that but I doubt The Flames are willing to give up Iggy. Jarome is an explosive player and the better player overall. Alfredsson is in a slump but he'll get out of it eventually. Didn't Sens GM make it clear that they weren't going to trade Alfredsson? It might not even be a good deal for the Sens because Iginla cost more than Alfredsson.

its just a rumor, there would be no way in hell that the Flames would get rid of Iginla for Alfredsson. Alfredsson hasn't done nothing in the playoffs the past 5 to 6 years, and hes of to a very bad start. If i was Muckler i would of traded Alfredsson in the off-season and i would of kept Chara.

Jarome has a No circulate clause in his settlement. If he have been to waive that clause he'd be long previous in a heartbeat. He hasn't ignored a sport interior the final 4 years and has averaged 40 aims according to year in that span. At $7MM according to year he's a good purchase. purely think of of the return he'd deliver the Flames. regrettably for the Flames 12 of the 23 gamers decrease than settlement have some type of no commerce settlement so Calgary's version of the Muskoka 5 must be stated as the Canmore Dozen. a number of those contracts make little or no sense. shifting a number of those 30+ men for potentialities and alternatives ought to unencumber some area for the young ones of the team.

Yes, this is most likely just a rumor. This trade wouldn't make sense for Calgary, because Calgary needs a centerman to help their wingers, and this trade would just be trading a winger for a winger. And for Ottawa, they'd be losing one of their staples, and someone who has great chemistry with Spezza and Heatley.
Some rumors that have been heard are Gagne, Carter, and a prospect for Iginla, and a couple of prospects, however this rumor isn't too valid since Gagne re-signed with the Flyers for five years.
Conroy is one name that has been mentioned in trade deals with both Ottawa and Calgary, so he could be on the move.

They were discussing that last week in the pre-game show before HNIC. I don't think Ottawa will pull the trigger between those two, but i do believe they will trade Alfie.....and who knows, they could go after iggy with players like fisher
as far as the chemistry between alfie heatley and spezza.....it would be even better if they still played together 5-5.
it will be difficult to find a team that is willing to pick up iggy's big salary...but again....the flames still might try to move him

You r looking at a big flames fan here and there is no rumour in Calgary. Iggy has great morale, and the flames need that because they r off to a rough start. Alfe is good, but not good enough for iggy.

I think it is just a rumor. The Flames would be foolish to let go of Jerome, especially for a player like Alfresson. Player for player, it's a bad trade for Calgary to make. They should build through the draft and sign some sensible free agents.
Meanwhile, the Flyers continue to push the Broad Street Bullies.........
SNIDER MUST GO !!!!!
