Of course terrorism is a threat. Just like an asteroid hitting us is a threat.

But what is the biggest threat? Some clown with a suicide vest strapped to his chest or the breakdown of our constitutional republic due to fear and reactionary laws?

"Those that would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security."

Benjamin Franklin

Because they are to worried about who's in charge. Its all about who has the power with them. They were in charge and left the problems for someone else as usual . And then they point the finger at how much it costs. When you have to build up a military again it gets expensive. Notice they were all on board when we first started. Things were going as if they had planned them and it was all peachy. Now its election time so lets point the finger and tell the people that someone else is to blame for misfortune They have a great exit plan you hear it daily. right. They they always say how bad the pres. is doing but we still haven't heard their plan. What is it? Its so good they can't even tell us. If I has a good one everyone would know about it.

The pathological hate for George Bush, and the sociopathic rage at loosing 2 Presidential elections. It has warped their judgment and grip on reality. They will do *ANYTHING* at all to get back the power that they once had. Even if that means trashing this country. If it weren't so pathetic it would be sad.

They do recognize it. Everyone learned lessons on 9/11 but the Republicans learned the wrong lesson and the democrats have it about right, which is, KEEP FOCUSED ON AL QUEDA and WIN THE MORAL HIGH GROUND.

they do, but some can also think about how our own society can be weakened by letting some in government make us believe we are weak and convince us to give up our freedoms in order to defeat them...enemies within as well as without...be careful to trust your politicians too much...they are only politicians not heros or gods....who really benefits by taking away due process, will your grandchildren be better off with out these "unneccessary" freedoms

It is in conflict with their world view. Instead of changing how they view the world, they just ignore inconvenient facts.
