Was the affair you had, and your spouse's discovery of it, worth it? How did it impact your marriage, your relationship with your kids...did anything positive come out of it?

OK: Let me be clear! I'm happily married and cheating is not part of my profile! I asked the question because everyone seems so quick to do it with little regard for the outcome. I just wanted to hear some honest replies from those who have been there...

not speaking personally but..

my ex b/f mom left his dad for a guy at work because she was going through a midlife crisis at home. She went and moved all her things into a little apartment with him and they arranged to leave their husbands and wives to be together. Later she wanted to come back and found out that her husband had dated woman while she was gone. She was furious and vowed to never work it out with him again. Long story short, shes stuck living in a house down the street and doesn't see her kids anymore. ask her if it was worth it, no..

my husband was unfaithful to me the first year of our marriage (only once) when it happened i didn't know. after a couple of weeks he was acting kinda funny finally 1 month later he confesed to me. i was devistated i didn't want nothing to do with him i screamed and yelled and cryed. and i left. a few weeks later after alot of talking i went back home. for 3 months all we did was talk i refused any kind of sex with him. during one of our conversations he told me how at the time it felt like it was worth it but after he did it it felt wrong and he was ashamed of him self and was sorry for what he did to me. so to answer your question no i do not think it is worth it. it will ruin your relationship with your spouse. if you are having the erge to have an affair i suggest either breaking it off or try something new in the bedroom alot of times people cheat is due to them not completly wanting to be in the relationship or them wanting to try something new.
me and my husband have been married for 8 years and still to this day he still apologizes to me.and i still keep my eyes open for any signs.

I'd never ever cheat on my husband, because I already know it won't be worth it. And I doubt there's going to be anything positive coming out of it.

Do you think it's worth it cheating on someone who loves you so much and losing that someone, just because of a stupid affair?

If you have differences or problems with your marriage work it out, cheating isn't the way to go.

NOT WORTH IT ONE BIT!! It is fun while it is happening and you think life is great but when you are caught the flame goes out as quickly as it started and worse you are left with the reprecussions of the affair and it is a very emotional thing

The only thing positive that comes out of cheating is the understanding that things in your own relationship either need to change or end.
