Becasue, regardless of your opinion it is music - you should try listening a bit more, it's actually pretty good as long as it's not too hardcore.

I have ecclectic taste in music and appreciate everything from Mozart to Metallica, I don't have a problem with Rap at all. I do have a preference for artists though and there's some whose lyrics and message doesn't sit well with me.

what does the color of a person have to do with it? It is called music the same reason punk rock is called music, and the same way country is called music. Don't start knocking something that you can't or won't understand. In all types of music it is an expression of who you are and what you feel

The same reason that rap music is the most profit grossing, nation crossing, uplifting to the disenfranchised, music humanity has ever known. And everyone can do it. But everyone can't do it good. And i can understand where your comin from, because i don't like country music. But just because I don't like it, I don't hate it. And I don't critsize anyone who does. But the Academy has spoken...Outkast. Album of the year. And everybody loved Hey Ya...probably even you.

That gosh darn rock and roll racket!!!

Sound familiar? Guess what, it is music, just because you don't like it or don't understand it doesn't mean it's not music. It's just not music that you and others prefer. There is a lot of crap out there that I don't like but I have to admit that it's music, crappy music, but music nonetheless. Like Avenge Seven Fold. garbage, but it still encompasses different aspects of music.
