how do i use an FTP program?

i have Smart FTP Client and i dunno the second thnig about using it so please help me out or gimme a link to a good site wehre i can learn on my own.

Okay. Your off to a good start. SmartFTP is a great FTP client. What you need to do is find out from the people who host your website what the address of your FTP server is. Then you will need a user name and password. You can type this information into the bar at the top of the Smart FTP screen. Then hit logon and you will see the files and folders in the remote location. Next you need to create your web page. Create it and name it index.html and put it in your public_html directory with your FTP client.
