There are instructions inside the box with illustrations that really help if you are learning how. Also, your mom or a trusted friend can also help explain it to you. I would suggust using a tampon with a plastic applicator. They are usually easier to slide in than the cardboard applicator kind. After you slide the applicator inside yourself, you push the end of the applicator up with your thumb, sliding the tampon in while holding the top if the tampon with your pointer finger and middle finger. Some women have to stand up with one foot on the bathtub or toilet seat to do this; others just sit down on the toilet. It is ok to get a mirror to look at what you are doing. It is your body and you need to know what is going on.

The first thing you have to do is relax. Once it starts going in all you have to do it continue to push it. Your body will send it into the right direction. It's not really that hard. You just have to relax

there are directions...look in the mirror if you want to be sure. just put it in, and it remotely hurts anytime, then take it out and get a new one and try again. it should not hurt at any time, if it does, then it isnt in right
