Well maybe it's time to move on and get more positive people in your life. Friends come and go always throughout your life, this is just something you will have to learn to accept. Let her know that her bad habits are rubbing off on you and you choose not to be around people who are negitive all the time. Negitivity spreads like a disease and is very contageous. If you havent figured this out by now, you will soon. You dont have to tell her in a rude way, just ask her to be a little bit more positive around you because the negitivity id getting you in trouble. If she's a true friend she will understand.

Despite how painful and blunt this may sound, the best thing I can tell you is to pick your friends with care and wisdom.

If you realize you're being negatively influenced by your friend (and we all are, it doesn't mean you're any more impressionable than the rest of us), I suggest you:

1) have a serious conversation with her about her negativity and its effect on you, and ask her to curb it for the sake of your own attitude, then

2) if over the course of the next two weeks there's not improvement, consider putting boundaries on how much time you spend together to try and keep your own attitude on track.

Ultimately, we need to be wise about those we hang out with, because it is INEVITABLE that you'll fall in line with those you spend the most time with.

It's a sad cliche - hang out with thieves, you'll start stealing. Hang out with violent men and women, you'll start responding with violence. Hang out with people with nothing positive to say about anything, well, you get my drift.

Best to you.

you need to enlighten her. being negative can lead nowhere good.ultimately a negative mind must repair itself.
you see. i'm like that .if i keep on ,it becomes habitual.i do things that produce positive results.even if it;'s a small chore.
today i was crossing the street and i picked up a nail on the way.it's only a small posibility that it would cause a flat. but a flat might end up killing a family.(hypothetically.).i turned a negative thing into a positive thing.sometimes ya just have to feel negative; but not always.

get some positive friends too. And hope that they don't fight. Negative people often feel jealous.
