I've gone to my computer and right clicked on DVD/CD Rom and then eject. Nothing happens. I've tried shutting down my computer and repeating the above, nothing happens.

A paper clip in the tiny hole will definitely do it. Usa as large a paper clip as will fit in the hole and push straight back. It should free the drawer and then you can manually pull it straight out.

Also, you can gently pry at the edges of the drawer with an exacto knife or the like and just move the drawer out enough to get something behind the edge of the drawers faceplate and then manually pull it straight out.

FYI, nothing is really holding the drawer closed so opening it is quite easy.

Hope this helps.

It's very possible that the rom drive has come unpluged insite the computer or it's possibly quit working as they all do at one time or another. When you first boot the computer, if you see the green light working on the rom drive, it's obvious that it's getting power, leaving a possible bad drive. Let me know if I can help further, I dont mind at all. dumbbutt4321@yahoo.com Larry Radioshack 01-9590

Get a paper clip and unfold it so its long. Now there should be a hole in your cd rom drive. Stick the paper clip in there and push. It will push on a gear inside and open your drive manually.

Underneath the drawer that should open you will see a tiny little hole ... get a paperclip and straighten it out and poke it in the hole ... this will release the drawer mechanism

Forget the paperclip. Get a crowbar and pry the thing open.

Works every time.
