President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson salary --- I haven't found anything on that but since his job is more of a figure head and Iceland is a prosperous country ...it'd be safe to say President Grimsson's salary is comparable with what the US President's salary(last I saw the figure was 400,000) ---of course, one would have to convert the Icelandic Krona!

The President of Iceland earns about 1,6 million Icelandic króna per month. That's about 282,350 US dollars per year according to the current exchange rate.

The salaries of the President, Ministers and members of the parliament are announced in the Icelandic news every time they get an increase of salaries. My source is the Icelandic news since December 21st 2005 (the link is to the Icelandic news article, in case you speak Icelandic). I'm pretty sure the President's salaries haven't been changed since then.

The President of Iceland doesn't have to pay taxes, so this is tax-free income.
