Personally, I like the entire Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It's seven books long (the fourth was kinda slow for me) but, it was filled with really weird stuff with the end of the last book a total mind bone. is goooood. Karma

My boyfriend had to read one such book for a political science class. He highly recommends it, although I have not personally read it because I can't stand books that are too tragic. It's a non-fiction book called "We Wish To Inform You That Tomorrow We Will Be Killed With Our Families: Stories From Rwanda". It's about the widespread but generally unknown genocide that took place in Rwanda.
