I was a hippie in the '60s--since you need to wear a skirt:
1. a granny dress in a small floral print
2. a fairly full, mid-calf length denim or leather skirt with either a rock bad tee or a peasant blouse
accessories---you need to wear a head band and moccasins
no make-up

Do a Google image search. Don't do it on "hippie," though; choose prominent hippie women. Joan Baez would be a good example, or Janis Joplin. Hippie garb tended to be an accumulation of trinkets and knick-knacks rather than a specific "style," so if you were to wear a muslin peasant blouse, a number of beads, and sandals on your feet, you'd probably look the part.

Go for the bohemian look. It has been popular recentlly so it shouldn't be too hard to find a peasant type blouse to go with a long "broomstick" type skirt. Wear sandals, Birkenstocks if you can get them or even just a pair of flip flops would be okay. Wear a circlet of flowers in your hair which should be worn long. Love beads galore and you will look great. As for make-up go for a natural look.
Have fun!

Well, a large, flowing shirt. You can look up pictures of "hippies" or even Janis Joplin, she's a good one. Um... like I said, large shirt, maybe long bell sleeves. There are many outfits you could try. They have those big wrinkled skirts now, gypsy skirts I think they're called. Big jewelry! Not very descriptive, but I tried. Haha :)

It's hard to play hookey when you already have the day off. Woohoo! Spring break! Of course, I should probably be grading papers. Or preparing for the class I'm teaching that starts tomorrow. But . . . . nah!

well... flowers in your straight long hair, lots of beads, bellbottoms that are outrageously wide at the bottom....probably barefoot...

if you want to play a woodstock hippie, cover yourself with mud.

oh - and flash the peace sign everywhere you go.
