We had the same problem with a Cavalier. It was a splice in the wiring that goes to the wheel speed sensors. Water got in there. Took it in, got it repaired and no more light. Nice cheap fix after it was found.

It's not uncommon for the bearings to go out on the front end, changing the clearance on the abs sensors. Have you noticed the increase in noise when driving. Sounds like a growling increassing with road speed. I have a Buick Rendevous and have had to replace both sides front bearings. A friend just had to do it on his Escalade. I have had to replace them in my '01 Alero.

A brake fluid pressure switch. Up by the master cylinder tied into the brake lines. Sometimes they screw into the side of the master cylinder or on the end. Good luck.

Check the tires,that happened to me an the light would go on for a while,then go off.The dealer couldn't find anything wrong....well guess what tire blew out,only 7,000 mi.2001 PT cruiser,so make sure you check,it happened on jersey tpk.thank god no one was hurt.Good luck

wheel speed sensors witch are in the hubs or the wiring from them look on the front upper A arms you should see a round black wire going into wheel hub check these for cracks or breaks

disconnect the NEG - side of the battery overnight, this will clear the computers memory
