Whoever wins the election should investigate the president's abuse of power. America was built on the foundation that no one man would be able to acquire enough power to manipulate Congress, the courts, the constitution, and he has done all of the above. It is a very dangerous situation, and America is well on the way to becoming a tyranical nation while our men are fighting half-way across the world - supposedly- for freedom and democracy.

The best thing to do is just let Bush run out his term and let history judge him. All an investigation will do is polarize the country more than it already is and that would be worse than the Iraq war. Bush does far more damage to himself by himself without anyone elses help so all Democrats need to do is sit back and let him self destruct and by 2008 presidential elections voters will be lining up around the block to vote for a Democrat for President.

I wish they would, as some have said they wouldn't have to look to deeply. However, the Dems are promising no impeachment resolutions. Since their only remedy is for impeachment and they are promising they won't waste time on it, what's the point of investigating? I think the Dems know they won't have the votes required to impeach him, so why run a circus like the Repubs did on Clinton's watch. Expect them to put great pressure to get out of Iraq in about a year however. Maybe not even that for they could still use the Iraq issue against the Repubs if we are still there in '08.

What abuse of power? I haven't seen any.

Still, if they do gain the majority, I am sure we will be treated to two full years of wall-to-wall investigations, as Democrats once again prove to the American people that they are incapable of doing anything constructive. After two years of watching a childish, pathetic, do-nothing Democratic Congress, the American voters will be eager to vote the Republicans back in in '08, along with a Republican President.

They should just move on... there are more important things now. If the president for some reason gets impeached, the last thing we need is a transition of presidents smack in the middle of the war!

Is that how you would truly want to have your tax dollars spent? Let's fix problems, not blame for a change in Washington. I read a great quote this morning. "I don't blame Congress. If I had 600 billion dollars at my disposal, I'd probably be irresponsible too."
