My folks live in OZ I amin the UK and wonder if I buy them one and they have dial up connection will it be real slow?

Well, I disagree. I think you should buy it. But don't expect miracles! It may work at the minimum resolution (a bigger resolution than 320x240 will cause the application to drop too many frames).

If you try to send video, you won't like it and neither will they.
If you just want to send a picture, it might work O-K.

i have dial up and it works alright. its choppy and stuff but you still get the picture.

it will be choppy but it will work .. albeit at a somewhat delayed pace...
