hi there,
While every color carries within it a specific energy the variation of hues provide a very different feel. There are subtle hues that promote a silky sense of the energy, such a a pale pinkish peach that envelopes a sweetness of love. If the same color is vibrant it stirs very different sensations of livingness. There is also a variation of feel between clear color and muddy color. If ever you wander into a study of the esoteric significances of color, you will find that each color corresponds to a chakra in the body, thereby either energizing or diminishing the energy flow in that particular area. Colors also relate to sense other than touch or feel. An open minded individual can touch something blue and almost feel the breeze in the sky along with hearing the wind and tasting the air.
Good question! Thanks!

we do feel colors. Colors have a specific wavelength. When you divide the speed of the wave "v" by the wavelength you get the frequency. the more condensed the frequency (shorter the wavelengths) the higher the energy. Reds and oranges have shorter wavelengths, thus, higher energy, as opposed to blue and violet which have longer wavelengths and lower energy. These sources of energy are picked up by receptors in our largest organ, a sense organ in particular; the skin. This is why red lights are typically used for heating objects, and also why red light feels hotter. So, fact has it, you do feel colors. You just dont feel colors as "colors" because the thalamus does not route information from skin receptors to the occipital lobe where visual stimuli is experienced.

Colors under bright lights can be felt. The more toward red they are, the warmer they are. They are cooler toward the blue. This is because of the radiation frequencies they absorb.

It all depends on one's sight, mood, understnding and emotions.A blind person can think a color but can feel it only as limited to his world. a child can see different colors but their are limitations to his developing brain even if he feels the color. And people who can see and understand have limitations to their personal choices even if colors could be felt.

Go to a fabric store...and find fabrics that are sorted by color...and velvet in different colors seems to feel differently!
Somehow darkest blue and black seem softer & warmer.

Well the bold colors would feel more hot and intense and the less bold ones would feel cool and subtle, like silk.

I imagine that red would feel hot, orange would feel like the sun hitting your face. Blue would feel like a spring breeze. Purple would feel like aroused passion. Green would...maybe make me feel uncomfortable. Grey would feel like a kitten. Black would feel empty.
