think about it this way, do you really want someone who drinks everyday, and alcaholic, around your children? Nothing good has ever come out of a relationship where one is and alcaholic, and the other is not, it will bring you down, just like it is him, even though you dont drink, drinking effects the life of others who have to live with it everyday, think about that........good luck.
You deserve better.

Well this is a ongoing problem for a lot of men...esp if you live in England...
I would say, before it gets better it will get worse...you need him to get counselling...and quickly.
