I had three removed when I was 21..but that was quite awhile ago. The operating surgeon did a fantastic job..cutting around the nipple to remove them..the scar is barely visible and probably only visible to myself because I know it is there...as for pain...I had none.

I actually had the same problem when I was in high school and it was frustrating because at that time, I couldn't afford any expensive treatments. I looked up a few home remedies for this skin issue and found that applying lemon juice to your skin will clear it. Basically, I cut a lemon into 4 pieces, and squeezed the juice out into a cup/small bowl. Then I rubbed it onto my face (make sure you don't have any make up or other chemicals on your skin). I left it on my skin for about 20 minutes, then washed it off. Always remember to moisturize with a light face cream, because the acid will strip your skin of all oils. I do warn you that it will irritate your skin. It'll burn, sting, and itch all at the same time. Some people may not be able to handle it. If you can't, you can try adding a little bit of water to the lemon juice so that it won't be so intense, but this may take longer for it to clean those scars off. It's also helpful to sit in front of a fan. Once the lemon juice dries, the uncomfortable stinging sensation will stop. After about 3-4 weeks of doing this, you'll have much clearer skin. My acne scars are all gone now. This isn't going to prevent the acne from happening, but it'll definitely clear the scars that the acne and blackhead usually leave behind.

I had one removed, oh, 30 years ago. I don't remember it hurting. There is a small scar, but I am almost albino and it was when I was a soldier, so the doctor was not trained to make it pretty, but I still have to look to find it.

I am assuming it is in your breast, so I would think a good supporting bra would help and maybe have a 20 ounce bottle that you can fill with warm water and rest next to (not on) the incision IF it is ok with the doctor.
