As a liberal, I don't hate conservatives. Why do conservatives hate me?

I'm amazed at the disdain conservatives have toward liberals. I myself am a liberal and am able to accept that people are entitled to their beliefs, but it seems everywhere I turn I'm hearing how I'm pretty much a heathen and "Godless" or a "baby killer" or uneducated because I'm not conservative and don't agree with the Republican platform. Are people really okay with this close minded and narcissistic thought process? Why am I called the "idiot" for being against the war in Iraq from the get go? For saying there never were WMD's and finding out 2 years later I was right? Why am I called the dumb one? Because I'm a liberal? Because I didn't fall for it? Conservatives you are entitled to your beliefs and can call me the idiot all you want to because I don't agree with you. But, that doesn't make me a bad person. I'm not the one who lied to you...

I don't hate you, but I am not a conservative either. And I think the hate is not coming from conservatives either, but from these "neocons" that have taken control of the "old" republican party.

I don't hate you - I don't even know you. And, since you're a liberal who is able to accept that others are entitled to their beliefs, I have to say you seem like a pretty reasonable person to me. I have a lot of left-leaning friends - we just agree not to talk politics.

You and I disagree on the war. International intel said that Saddam DID have WMDs, and some were found, just not the large amounts we expected. I think that Clinton should carry a lot of the blame for 9/11 since he refused to take Bin Laden from the Sudanese in 1996. But that's okay - we can agree to disagree, can't we?

I really do know how you feel. I'm a right-leaning libertarian on a university campus full of extreme left-wingers. My intelligence is insulted on a regular basis, and this by people who claim to have tolerence for diverse opinions. Yeah, right!!

My advice is just keep your chin up and don't let other people get to you so much. Not worth it!!!

I don't hate liberals on a one to one basis, but here you go asking a question and before it's over you're on a soapbox. I don't use any of the terms you quoted, perhaps with the exception of "idiot" and I am still reserving the right to use that one because it does apply in some cases - such as when somebody makes a statement implying all Conservatives are the same.

One question - if there never were any WMD's, what WAS it that killed all those Kurds and Iranians? Bad water?

Many Liberals flaunt their lack of understanding. they are conditioned to believe lies particularly of imagine for themselves. operating example, the overdue Democrat Senator Byrd became a recruiter and officer contained in the KKK. have you ever heard a Liberal communicate about that, a lot less condemn him? also, the human beings lynching blacks contained in the South and belonging to the KKK were ordinarily Democrats. about now, all the Liberals examining this actuality are spewing venom at me for saying it. that is the way they have been conditioned. Then there is the priority of warmongers. Democrat President Roosevelt were given us in WWII, Democrat President Truman were given us into the Korean warfare, then lost it. Democrat President Kennedy were given us into the Vietnam warfare. Democrat President Johnson used the large lie, "The Gulf of Tonkin decision, and led to fifty 8,000 individuals to die, and 100s of thousand to be maimed and their lives ruined. i study about all this because i'm almost 80 years old and that i served contained in the defense force for twenty-four years throughout the time of those situations. The Liberals are like cats in a clutter container attempting to conceal up all the actuality.

Maybe conservatives hate the liberals because they brought them 40 hour work weeks instead of 60 to 80 hour work weeks, overtime pay, safe work conditions, lunch breaks away from work and many more things that are just making conservatives and the whole country weak.

It's sad to see that Americans have that much hate for each other, they forget the words of RFK " what America needs is not violence or lawlessness but love toward your fellow man". This should be true and we should all care about each other whethe they have different beliefs.

I don't hate you.Leave the war tactics to people more capable of understanding the danger our country is in.There are plenty of poor,unwed mothers and downtrodden folks in our country for you to throw your emotional side into a war,which is better left to us.

I am a very conservative person and I don't believe hatred or closed-mindedness fit with my beliefs. I am friends with many liberals and I don't agree with them, but I don't hate them -- or you. :)
