TX holds jobs for hubby & me AND we used to live there. Tampa holds job for hubby and I'd have to find one. We have a four year old....any suggestions?

Definitely TX. We just moved from SW FL, spent 6 miserable years there and absolutely hated it there. The whole state is nothing but whiney tourists, and everything is geared towards them, nobody there cares at all about the locals. Right before tourist season, they jack up the all ready expensive prices on everything for the tourists. Traffic is horrendous, especially in Tampa, and the people-overall-are so rude in the entire state. Florida is a nice to place to visit, but sucks living there.

I would choose TX. Went to FL once and will never go back. What an awful place. If it were me, TX hands down.

I would head to Texas. Jobs are hard to come by with an unemployement rate of under 5 %.

Besides, I have lots of friends and relatives in Texas. They tell me it is a really great state to live in.
