most over the counter tests can detect pregnancy as early as 5 days after your missed period. The doctors may even be able to tell sooner. hope everything works out!

They have some tests that you can do 3-5 days before your missed period. The most accurate would be after a missed period.

You can test before your missed period but, to be really accurate take it when your bladder has been full for 8+ hours. (like in the morning after you wake up) Same with the EPT up to five days before your missed period test. Thats the best way to get the most accurate tests.

Some test will work the first day of your missed period.

With a home pregnancy test most of them don't show up until after you've actually missed your period. Even then you sometimes will get a false negative. The blood test from your doctors office will show up a few weeks after conception, and there's no false negative.
