Pediatricians recommend that you don't given babies milk (any brand or kind) until after 12 months due to digestion. You can give her water or Pedialyte. Watch out for sugar drinks like kool-aid and the like which affects the tooth developement or lack there of. You probably can give her the formula refrigerated instead of the milk...
NOTE: Marnie is wrong about sippy cups. The reason that sippy cups are "bad" is because no one brushes their kids' teeth and the kids "sip" on sugary, acidic drinks all day. Sippy are life savers when it comes to messes!!
**They also make 12 oz sippy cups which are great for the beer guzzlers that spill (this is a joke!!!)**

You shouldn't be feeding her cow''s milk at ALL right now. The sodium level could be way too much for her kidneys to handle, in addition to the proteins being difficult for her to break down.
After one year, you are supposed to give only WHOLE milk as they need the fats that are found in whole (not lowfat or skim) milk for optimal brain development.
Fill her sippy cup with water. Babies need to get used to the unadulterated taste of water. Additionally, allowing them to suck on anything (sippy cup, bottle) all day that has sugars in it can lead to tooth decay (cow's milk has lactose in it...that's a sugar), as well as dulling their appetite for more nutritious foods.
Babies should have no more than 4-6 oz of juice in a day, and THAT should be diluted with 1 part water to every 1 part juice.

I would wait on the cow's milk until he is 12 months. There are medical reasons why Dr's want you to wait to give him regular milk. If he likes a sippy cup, than pump and put the milk in a sippy cup for him. I would also wait on the yogurt as well for the same reasons. My oldest was the same way. She was BF also and refused a bottle. No big deal, really, especially if he likes the cup. Skip the bottle all together and pump and let him use the cup w/your milk. As for the water, he is getting what he needs from your milk so no worries there either.

Even if she likes the cold milk, don't give it to her! It's very dangerous for a child under 1 to drink cow's milk, and when they do turn 1, they should have whole milk only. Keep giving her juice for now. She'll have a whole lifetime to enjoy cows milk, without the health risks.

No baby under 1 year old should be drinking cow milk. Give her formula in her sippy at feeding time. Or water. My 9 mo. old has juice (half juice half water mixture). A little juice is good for her - gives her extra servings of fruit.

Milk can be extremely dangerous for babies under 1 year of age, and when they DO turn 1 they are supposed to have whole milk til age 2 because they need the extra fat to aid in brain development.

when i was with WIC, (Women, Infants and Children),we were taught not to feed whole milk until the baby is 12 months old. At that time you switch to the sippy cup. also, what i loved the best is they taught us start feeding regular foods to your baby once the bottom teeth come in. at that time i fed the same foods my husband and i ate. for example, if we had chicken, leave part of it unseasoned. take some of the flesh and put it through a food grinder. i believe these can be found in the baby aisles of stores. my daughter loved the food. we were also told baby food in jars has next to no nutrients in them. besides, the switch to regular food is so easy that way. is wish you the best.

Children under 2 should have whole milk, not skim or partly skim. Check with your doctor as to her or his recommendation about when to start milk.

The academy of pediatrics recommends waiting until the baby has reached 1 year of age until giving milk. And when you do give milk it needs to be whole milk to aid in brain development. Later on in life you can switch to low fat or no fat milk.
