Stephanie.....You answered your own question.

Since the war isn't about oil, it wouldn't have any effect on pulling out our troops - however, our war on terror would be greatly compromised.

The US military is doing quite a bit to help the Iraqis protect their oil fields/pipelines/terminals because the Iraqis (& the US) needs the cash from oil sales to pay for reconstrution and the liberation of Iraq by the US. You don't think the US liberated Iraq for free, do you? Iraq is sellling a very limited amount of it's oil (they have problems with terrorists blowing up their pipelines) but it's such a small amount doesn't matter if it's going to the US or not.

Not a lot, no. Not to mention we could have dropped the sanctions and bought the oil for less then the war costs and say what you will about Bush/Cheney; they're not that bad of businessmen. The troops should come home when Iraq can stand on its own. Regardless of how one felt prior to the War that's where we're at.

the value of gas is effected via extra then only crude oil fees. it has to do with a worldwide places ability to refine crude oil into gas. the USA of a at present has no longer equipped or accelerated any of it somewhat is refineries. this implies that they won't advance gas production. so as intake rises and production maintains to be the comparable there is extra call for then furnish and the value will upward push. How ever we've not reached a extensive tipping element with that yet. in spite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is coming. different effects on crude oil are that India and China intake costs and extremely expanding. which potential there is returned extra call for the comparable furnish or comparable furnish. to that end bigger fees. yet another extensive element in oil fees is inflation! gas isn't the only factor that has extra suitable in value take a seem at what distinctive issues value returned while Clinton replaced into in place of work.. distinctive issues effect the value of gas. however I do agree i think of the Oil marketplace is manipulating the value somewhat. yet another factor you could desire to evaluate is that a Presidents oil and capability rules won't have an impact until eventually they depart place of work. If a President alongside with clinton is denying enables left and proper.. those effects wont ensue until eventually 8-10 years down the line while intake has extra suitable and production has decreased because of the lack of latest "wells".

It is about stopping another 9-11, not about stealing the natural resources of Iraq and yes oil had a lot to do with us being there.

But that is not to say we are going to steal it.

We do. But, we buy it, since it isn't our oil. The war was never about oil. If anything, we interrupted France, China, and Russia's supply of it.
