your computer hard drive is about totally filled up.
try running your clean up programs.
Another thing, some anti virus soft wares, have extras for .the puropse of privacy and other stuff.
If they are starting to detect stuff harm full to yourPC,they will get in the way of things, and even stop it cold.

Are you using any firewall and routers for your internet connection. Check the configurations on both regarding the fastness of the speed. Some more the download depends upon from which server your are downloading. If the server has heavy traffic then the speed of download will be very slow only. Try to download some other website and see how is the speed.

Try this before anything else.
(Works about 40% of the time)

Double click "My Computer" on your desktop.
Right-Click on Local Disk (C:)
Click Properties
(Check for Free Space here.)
(If you don't have Free Space, or if your free space is less than 80%, that's the problem. If disk space seems O-K,
Click "Disk Cleanup".
(this will take a few minutes to read your drive, maybe even 1/2 hour).
When it is finished, click O-K.

Then re-boot and see what happens.

After you re-boot, you might want to try a disk defragmentation.
This can sometimes speed things up a bit

Good Luck!

This question needs a lot more information to answer specifically. In general, you can look for spyware, trojans and viruses. Make sure you have enough hard drive room. Defrag your hard drive. Evaluate your connection speed. Make sure you do not have a lot of other programs running at the same time.

Have you checked out your C drive to see how much free space you have? Go to Start, Click on My Computer, then click Local Drive C scroll down to properties and right click to see how much free space.
