I own and moderate a Group on Yahoo called Experience NASCAR. We use the off season as a time to conduce what we call The NASCAR Experience End of the Season Awards. In order to participate, one must be a member of the Group.
The awards consist of several categories that are based on the performances of the past season. This year, we are going to have the membership discuss those that they believe should be on the ballot for each category. After the discussions are over, we will build a ballot of the best choices to determine the ultimate winner. It results in some very interesting discussions. Check out the links below and join the Group to participate.

I'm going to miss it a lot, I'll be counting down the days until Daytona. I love football though, so that helps. The only good thing about it is I wont miss any of the games due to NASCAR being on, but nothing can take NASCAR's place and I'll still miss it.

Maybe the Speed channel will show some REAL racing, like WRC, instead of 18 hours of NASCAR a day. Or you could try a nice fast sport like hockey. Maybe even get off the couch, put down the Budweiser and cheese doodles and enjoy a little of the outdoors for a change?

Watch reruns of past races...visit drivers websites, shop at Nascar.com, and count down the days to Speedweeks at Daytona 2007. Also, visiting race shops in North Carolina is always fun...

I know, our lives will be empty without our boys. Luckily it only lasts a few months. We have Christmas to distract us. We will have to stock up on our driver gear and get ready for Speed week. What is on TV on Sunday afternoons if NASCAR is not on?

Start making a 'chart' on who's IN, who's OUT, what car are they driving, sponsorship changes, who'll be in a Toyota, who'll be jumping out of Chevy, Dodge or Ford. Going over your collections of diecast, building models, going over and studying publications, and seeking ANY 'sneak peak' of what the cars will look like and painted up for 2007. There's plenty to do!

Count the days until it starts all over again! At least they don't have an extremely long off season!
