LOL, you know they did! Cowards try in the beginning of a fight to look like hero's, talking smack, but after they start to realize there really is going to be a fight, they back down, and say they didn't REALLY mean it. I'll bet you the fastest runner's in Congress are all liberals.

Democrats ( and not all voted for it BTW ) who voted for the war have at least come forth and said that they made a mistake voting for the war back then and they wished they hadn't.
Reublicans have no backbone because none of their decisions for the USA have been beneficial to Americans or the world, they cant admit their mistakes or admit they may have been wrong on many policys, and they brainwash people like you to believe that somehow without them in power were doomed.
Well we are doomed now with the crap that republicans have done, and will continue to do if still in office......... more of " Nothing ".
People like yourself are exactly what is wrong with America, and American Politics. Nothing more than close minded, ignorant, ridiculous propoganda fed to you by none other than the party and politics you believe in so faithfully. You are nothing more than a follower.

I have to give them credit for not sticking to something they were told lies about and made them vote for the war Now they know it is lies and they are watching the way this war is being run and it is enough to make you sick all those people and our military being killed every day. This policy that is being used has to be changed. You Republicans need to get your president to get rid of Rumsfeld and put someone in there that might be able to get the different fractions together. It doesn't take a backbone to stand back over here and let
the killing go on they need to do something

Actually, some did. I guess it was the politicaly correct thing for them to do considering polls at the time. I do not support that and I dont support the war. Hopefully whoever gets the nomination in 2008 will not be one of those. There are plenty who did not. I would like to see someone get the nomination who speaks their mind on the issue at hand. Not what their advisors tell them. I am a democrat. I used to consider myself independent but this administration has actually drove me to one side. Kind of sad.

You don't stick to a decision if the facts that led you to it have changed or, as is the case with Iraq, wrong in the first place. When did it become a character flaw to be willing to continuously reexamine situations and make changes based on new insight? I expect that from a leader.
You're initial question sounds like right wing spin. If you haven't done so already I recommend that you go back and read the entire resolution voted on by congress in October of 2002.

You bet you a** they voted FOR IT first. Biggest bunch of flip floppers in history with John Kerry leading the way. Bush may not make the best decisions all the time but at least he means what he says and that's a heck of better than Democrats who never seem to make up there mind on the issues especially the war in Iraq. There is no doubt in my mind that the gutless Democrats will screw things up worse in Iraq if they take over congress.

Oh my gosh you guys spew lies like nothing dont you?
Yes the Democrats voted for the war based on the false intelligence that Bush and Co presented to them. When the vote was taken it was a different time, you either did what the President wanted, or, well there was no or. You just did it. He was fighting the war on "terror" Our Democratic leaders were just quicker to see through the BS than you people.

Well, if you listen to the President, we were all given false information about the state of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Many Democrats agreed to war, based upon erroneous information and now knowing that it was false and seeing that the war is not going as planned, they are ready to try something else. That sounds smart to me, rather than throwing good money (never mind, good people) into a situation and a plan that is not working.
Of course there are a few who never voted for the war - they needed a marjority, not a unanimous vote to start war.
Peace!
