Do we humans have a right to use animals for our own ends? Some people Maintain that we are superior because we have evolved beyond animal instinct. Others say that only humans have souls. Why did some people like Descartes thought that animal had no feelings.
But some animals display distinctly "human" traits: Pets have performed acts of bravery, and some monkeys can even do math!

What I want to say is if this animal like Chimpanzee, dogs... have not the same compared to humans but small thinking ability, did we have the right to use them?
One reason to not eat humans is because they think....if this animal has little ability of thinking can we use them?...IN a sense why can't we eat humans....regularly as sheep's and goats.

What right?
Very Simple: Might Makes Right.
All right are based on force alone. No one has any "inherent" rights.
If animals could -- they would kill and eat humans, but we are stronger then animals. Thus by the right of the strongest we get to enjoy our victory over animals by eating tasty meat.

We give ourselves the right to choose. Wheather we choose to belive that animals have feelings or that they dont. We as individuals make that choice, much like any other belief. So I guess to answer your question we have every right. But I also believe that animals have the same rights. They choose weather or not to bite us or save us or learn math. If an animal didn't want to, then they why would it choose to . . . They choose to. Every thing in life is a choice. Maybe even plants have feelings and they choose to live so that an animal can eat it and the animal chooses to live so that we humans can eat the animal and maybe we choose to live so that one day we will die and become a fertilizer for the next seed ready to sprout out into the world. My question for you is this . . . why do we make things so complicated?

I agree with you. I understand that you are an animal lover too.
I am sure that animals have feelings and souls too and they also have language - not our language of course, but they make sounds to communicate.
The problem is that animals cannot fight for their rights - I suppose if we, human beings are superior in any way, this is the way - we are able to fight for our rights.
Let us all have compassion and mercy for our animal friends - they help and love us in so many ways - why shouldn't we do the same for them?

Apparently Might makes right in the law of the Jungle. In reality political correctness goes out of the window. Which is bad because they'll probably tear this answer to shreds in such a case for this is under the jurisdiction of society. Hmm. Irony.

I belive that animals have souls too, but what do I know? I only want to be a Veterinarian when I grow up. Have you read 'The Golden Compass' by Pillip Pulman? VERY good, after the first 150 pages, it gets EVEN better. It'll explain to you why I belive what I do...

NONE NONE NONE...
Everything on this earth is meant to co-exist and assist each other...the fact that humans think they are so intelligent is just bullshit...the mere fact that humans can't be bothered trying to understand each other, let alone animals or the planet just reeks of abuse...
If humans are so intelligent, why can't they understand that one form of intelligence is not superior to another form of intelligence...why can't we understand that understanding another's viewpoint only enhances our viewpoint...it does not detract from our viewpoint...
I hate the fact that humans still crucify animals so they can have something to suck on at meals...all the while feigning intelligence and superiority...
grow up spiritually human race and blend in...love and be compassionate...

We raise animals with one purpose in mind to eat what they produce and/or to eat them. Game animals are taken only after they are earned. The game animal always has the possibility of escape. If they fail, their life is forfeit as ours used to be. And in some cases, still are.

The right of survival simply put. Eat or be eaten, we are consumers of life, whether animal, plant, or microbes in water and air..

The concept of 'Right' is something humans have invented. There is no such thing as 'Right' from nature's perspective. You have those rights which you allow yourself.
