That was very cute!! LMAO!!

I don't think there's much of anything you can do, honestly. Just get good grades, do your chores and be respectful. You dad is probably more concerned with the boys in your class then you particularly.

I don't think you can convince him to let you wear make-up. Most young women and their parents go though the very same thing that you are. (I did too!)

What you CAN do, is show him how mature you are by respecting his wishes, and not sneaking behind his back. You'll gain his respect and trust (believe me), and he will give you more freedom to make your own choices later.

Ask him to buy you a clear mascara. It will not add any color to your lashes, but makes them separate and shiny. (Maybelline has a good one). If the girls at school give you a hard time, tell them that you're into the clean and natural look (check out the girls on America's Next Top Model), you really aren't into looking like a clone.

Good luck!

what are u in a rush for
wait til you are 16 too look older 13 is too early to look bad
take you time and mature gracefully
dad is right he doesn't want you too look to mature for the old perverted men out here . listen to your dad. i was raised by my mom due to a divorce. An i would give anything for my father to been in my life to correct me on some of the mistakes i made in my teen life. All my mom did was be a friend and not a parent.. and that was a big mistake ... so enjoy your teen life don't grow up to fast .. because once u start living a grown ups life at 13 -17 u can't get back your innocent childhood .

Your dad sounds like hulk hogan, lol. I think it is wonderful that he is such a responsible parent. Part of growing up is challenging authority and boundries, so I understand you wanting to wear it. But, you have your whole life to wear makeup so be a mature girl and give your dad respect. When he sees that you are mature he will feel less worried. I'll bet you look just as nice without the warpaint, good luck hon.

OH Honey -- welcome to one of the oldest battles on the planet. We've almost all had this same arguement -- this worked for me, so hopefully it'll work for you.

Part of the reason Dad's detest make-up (most often eye liner or lipstick) is because it is proof that 1)their little girl is growing up and 2)little boys will notice said little girl. But there's hope!

The thing that you must convince your father of is maturity and not trying to do something to be a conformist. You must get your point across that you don't want to wear eye-liner to be 'just like the other girls' or to 'make the boys notice' -- moreover you must help him to see that you want to wear eyeliner because you're curious about makeup and want to learn to wear it appropriately. Make sure he knows that you want to wear it for you -- no one else and that you may eventually tire of it. It's a responsibility issue for the most part... that and a parent's fear that their children are getting older!

Best of luck to you!

That sucks!! Luckily my parents let me wear make-up when I turned 13, so I didn't have this problem. But you should sit down with your dad and explain to him why you want to wear it and ask why he doesn't want you to. Just make sure to be calm and don't act like a whiney brat because that shows him you aren't mature enough to even wear it! If he finally lets you, you should wear the more subtle colors, like brown-ish black or greyish, so it won't be so dark, and don't wear so much, so you won't look like a little kid who got into her mother's make-up. Good luck!!

Of course your dad and your make up don't mix. You are his baby girl and he doesn't want you out looking like a painted doll. Besides at your age you don't need it. Don't be too anxious to grow up so fast...look around, observe, have a mind of your own...and get the best grades you can. Maybe when you are 16 he'll give in.

You really cant convince him to let you put it on. If you possibly put it on very subtly hardly noticeable maybe he wont realize... but then again hes a dad and he probably will.. My advice is to sit down and talk to him about it. Ask him for a reason besides "Because I said so". Maybe he has a good reason.
Good Luck!

I was afraid to ask my mom if I could wear makeup. If you have a Mom, or a female guardian, convince her that you're interested in makeup by showing fascination with hers.

I told my mom that I wanted to wear make up because I saw the other girls wearing it, and I thought they looked nice, so I wanted to look pretty too.

I'm not sure what else to tell you because my dad doesn't care one bit.

Over time he might just decide its ok for you to wear it us men are like that we can hate something for years or so then the next day be perfectly fine iwht it if not just try and use a more subtle make up then slowly use darker ones and if that dosent work just try talking to him.
