i always forget then when the person i got the message for mention the individual who sent the message that's when i say oh yea i saw him/her the other day and they said hi.

Depends. Generally people don't expect you to actually tell them, it's more of a socially acceptable way of sounding interested in someone (kind of like asking "how are you" but not really wanting the answer).
I'd say in general I tell people 10% of the time. And mostly if I know they really miss said person.

She's no longer into you anymore. have relaxing with somebody who thinks you're awsome. She'll finally end up thinking you're pathetic and unhappy in case you save calling her, and you will hate your self for it.
