The urine tests and the store usually register 6-8 weeks into your pregnancy because that's when the HCG hormone is strong enough to be read on the stick. Blood test that they do at the doctor's office can register sooner than that.

I took a test 4 days before my period was going to start and it came out positive (lightly.) I did it so early because I thought I had a bladder infection and needed to know if it was pregnancy or if I needed to make an appointment with my doctor.

12-14 days after conception for a home pregnancy test, as early as 8-10 days with a bloodtest.

There is a new test on the market that can determine pregnancy from five days on. You can call "Planned Parenthood" in your city and ask where the P-test is sold, or if they can test you.

generally 3 weeks after the suspected time you may have conceved... or 5 weeks after your last period... it is also based on your cycle lengh, 28-32 days. Also not many people know this, but if your sick even with a small cold it can delay your next period by upwards of a week, or longer. I dont exacltly know why myself, but have seen my periods be delayed because of an illness or intense stress between periods... Good luck!!!
