make sure your dhcp server is reachable from your computer. Most of the time its a firewall blocking it so turn off your firewall.

Also, make sure you dhcp is actually running. ;)

command prompt: type "ipconfig /release"
then type "ipconfig /renew"
still nothing, type "ipconfig /flushdns
