I just had a baby and forget what exactly happened last time but i do remember getting a brownish discharge about 2 motnhs before i knew i was really pregnant. Do you think I could be pregnant now? I had my period about 2 weeks ago I think. Last week i had cramps...yesterday i had brown spotting. No sore boobs yet but always very tired...could be from the new baby and the new job...I just want to know if i should bother taking a test or wait it out and see what happens? Could still be my hormones regulating...Im on a progestin birth control but i heard that is not as effective as others... thanks for your help!!

Now come to think of it, about a few weeks ago i was really dizzy too!! yikes! sounds like i could be!!

If you had your period 2 weeks ago then it could have just been ovulation when you bled slightly. Some women do occasionally very slighty bleed when they ovulate, and get cramps. You would have your period, then about 14 days after the first day of your period, you would ovulate(assuming you have a normal period) and then you would have had to have sex within a few days before to the day of ovulation then it would take about 6 to 12 days for the egg to implant, which also can cause slight bleeding. So if you want to figure out dates from all of that, maybe that can help to determine something. Unless Im confusing you.

Bright blood is new blood, and dark blood (brown or black) is old blood. If your new baby (CONGRATS!!) isn't any older than two months, then I wouldn't worry yet. It's true that a woman is most fertile after having a baby (because everything in there is more 'open' and easily accessable for sperm and a woman won't ovulate withing the first couple months--usually).

After I had mine, I bled the entire time before my six week check up--it started very bright, then slowly darkend until it became black and clotty.

And, a woman's first period after childbirth is usually more painful, and can be either larger or smaller than her regular one.
